
Dr.Philip and Mrs. Susan Palmer
Susan and Phil met in the fall of 1980 as lab partners in Anatomy class when both were undergraduates at the University of Maryland. In 1982, Susan graduated with a degree in Animal Science. They married in 1986 and together opened Palmer Animal Hospital in 1991. Susan grooms at the office 2-3 days per week and has a faithful base of clients. She began grooming as a teenager when her family got their first dog, Tiffany, a Miniature Schnauzer. Susan also raises and shows Standard Poodles, and greatly enjoys working with the dogs.

Brenda
Brenda began working at PAH in 2003. She initially began as part time but is now a full time veterinary assistant. Brenda is a Middletown native and grew up on her family’s dairy farm. She still lives there with her husband, Steve, along with cats “Lacey, “Turbo”, and “Walle”. Brenda has twins, a son and daughter. Her son was recently married and works as a mechanic in Frederick, and her daughter is a registered nurse.

Nicole
Nicole began working at PAH in 1998 and was initially full time but is now a part time veterinary assistant. She grew up locally and graduated from Middletown High School. Nicole lives in Hagerstown with her husband, son, daughter and their pets—dogs “Bobo” & “Clover”, 2 cats, a guinea pig, and multiple fish.

Nancy
Nancy began working at PAH in 2009 and is a full time veterinary assistant. She was born and raised in New Jersey, and has traveled to many countries including Austria, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Sweden, Norway, Scotland, and Germany.
